2.      Who is our WA State Chapter Manager? What is our chapter website?
Melby, Cameron & Anderson (MCA) is our Chapter Manager. Leading the MCA Team is Lynn L. Melby, CAE.

3.      Who are my membership contacts for the WA State Chapter?
The WA State Chapter has a membership team that consists of a Vice President and 4 Directors:
The VP of Membership can help answer any questions about your current membership or how to become a member.
The Director of Member Care specializes in making new members feel comfortable with their local chapter.
The Director of Member Recruitment specializes in helping people join our chapter.
The Director of Volunteer Management specializes in our local committee members and volunteers. If you want to get the most out of your membership, become a committee member or volunteer!
The Director of Awards & Scholarships specializes in honoring our members with scholarships to educational conferences and awards. Planning to attend a conference? We have scholarships you can apply for to help cover the costs

4.      Are membership fees the same every year?
Prices are subject to change at the end of each fiscal year
 
5.      How much are the annual renewal dues?
$325.00/year and you can renew by logging on to www.mpiweb.org and clicking on the renew button.

6.      Can I pay membership dues in installments?
MPI accepts installment payments for renewal dues only. This is done in four payments of $81.25. New memberships must be paid in full. Please contact The MPI Member Care Center at 972-702-3053.

7.      I mailed my renewal payment in. Have you received it yet? (Payments usually get mailed to a PO Box number).
When did you mail in the payment? It takes 2-4 weeks for MPI headquarters to receive the payments sent to our PO Box. If the payment was sent in more than 4 weeks ago - please call the MPI Member Care Center at 972-702-3053. Please have ready: a check number, date, amount, and name on check (e.g. was it from a company?) Once all of this information is given, The Member Care Center can determine the problem.

8.      Have you received my payment?
If you need to verify that MPI has received your payment, please contact The MPI Member Care Center directly at 972-702-3053.

9.      Can I have a Chapter affiliation with more than one Chapter?
Yes, this is handled at the Chapter level. Contact the chapter directly for more information.
 
10. Can you help me log into www.mpiweb.org?
In order to log into the website, you must know your User Name and Password (they are generally your last name (User Name) and your MPI member number (password). If you do not remember your User Name, call The MPI Member Care Center at 972-702-3053. If you do not remember your password, click here to reset it.

11. How do I get the New Member's CD sent again?
If you did not receive your New Member's CD or need a new copy, please contact The MPI Member Care Center at 972-702-3053.

12. What is my member number?
If you don't remember your member number, please contact The MPI Member Care Center at 972-702-3053.
 
13. What is my password?
      If you have forgotten your password for your login on www.mpiweb.org, you will need to reset it. To reset your password, click here. Passwords need to be at least six characters or call MPI Member care center at 972-702-3053.

            If you have forgotten your password for your login on www.mpiwsc.org click on
            the login button and then enter your email address and click on the bottom of the 
            page where it says click here and your password will be emailed to you.
 
14. When does my membership expire?
One year from the date it was activated.

15. Who does the membership belong to?
Membership belongs to the member - NOT the company or persons paying for the membership.

16. How do I "transfer" my membership to another Chapter? (Make a Chapter change)
To change your Chapter membership you can either send an email or fill out membership profile update form (available at www.mpiweb.org) and fax it to The MPI Member Care Center at 972-702-3065.
 
17. How do I change my last name and other information on my member profile?
For www.mpiweb.org click on
Membership & Chapters scroll down to Members only and click on Update Your Contact Information.
 
For www.mpiwsc.org go under Membership, then Members Only, then Membership Directory and then you will see Need to Update your Profile to the right.
 
18. I am leaving the industry, but want to keep my membership can I do that?
Yes, the membership belongs to you, the individual, not the company. You will be classified as Planner or Supplier.

19. My company is not going to be happy about the membership not belonging to them. What if they want somebody to become a member? How does that work?
Your company can actually obtain a free 6-month trial membership. They can do so by contacting the MPI Member Care Center at 972-702-3053.

20. John/Jane Doe is a member of MPI but is no longer with our company; how do I update the member information to put my name and contact information in her/his place?
MPI membership belongs to the individual - therefore we cannot place your contact information in another's place. However, there are a couple of options: Option 1) This person can transfer his/her membership to you by signing a "transfer release form" available at www.mpiweb.org under Membership and Membership Forms Once that is complete, you will need to complete the membership application yourself. When the documents have been completed they will need to be faxed into The MPI Member Care Center at 972-702-3065. I will cost $100 If the membership is up for renewal then it makes sense for that member to join as a new member.
 
Option 2) is called the "Employer Complimentary Limited Membership" which is free to your employer for 6 months only and comes with the following benefits: MPI's exclusive e-mail newsletters and The One + magazine; local Chapter affiliation and access to the members-only section of the website. When the member renews at the end of the 6-month period, s/he will receive the full benefits of a member.
 
21. Can I purchase a list of members? 
From MPIWSC: Yes, you can purchase mailing labels and it is only addresses. We do not sell emails or telephone numbers. Contact our Chapter Managers at info@mpiwsc.org or 425-778-6162.
 
22. How do I use the web site to post a job opening?
For International: Please contact The MPI Member Care Center at 972-702-3053 for assistance with the Job Bank.
 
For MPIWSC: On www.mpiwsc.org go to the Career section and then Post a Job and complete the form.
 
23. What are the future MPI Conference Dates?
Please refer to the MPI website
www.mpiweb.org for International hosted conferences and www.mpicascadia.com for the local WA State conference.
