Why Join MPI?
1.     Networking: The ability to connect with industry experts and fellow supplier & planner members through local, national and international networking opportunities. There is also the option to connect on a personal level through our membership directory and our peer-to-peer mentorship program.
2.     Global Conferences: Member rate for MPI’s International programs: World Educational Congress (WEC), MeetDifferent, European Meetings & Events Conference and Gulf Meetings & Events Conference.
3.     Global Marketplace - Our Online Directory is a Web-based resource dedicated to providing an accurate and complete collection of suppliers of goods and services which are continually purchased by association members. It provides a convenient marketplace for expert buyers to quickly find qualified vendors that meet their unique needs, without the “clutter” of general purpose search engines.
4.     List Rental - MPI Members can build and purchase a list rental for one time usage only for a fee -- in order to mail a promotion to MPI members.  The member rate is $0.18 per name plus a $35 service charge. 
5.     ONE+ Magazine: Stay connected to the global meetings and event community through ONE+, an MPI magazine publication free for our members.
6.     MPI Career Connections: Free access to MPI Career Connections, the MPI site for you to post your resume and search for job openings. There are internship, entry level and experienced level openings available.
7.     Industry Certification: Access to training preparation for industry level certification, the ability to network with industry members that have already obtained their Certificate in Meeting Planning (CMP) and Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM) certifications, and the ability to test for certification in or around our international events.
8.     Professional Development: Access to state of the art training and education to allow for you to continue your professional development.  Access to the MPI Virtual Knowledge Center, where you can take advantage of our online learning resources, such as webinar series and the CMP online study guide.
9.     MPI CultureActive© Tool: This tool offers MPI members the opportunity to improve their ability to understand and communicate with other cultures – improving cultural competence and acquisition of skills.
10.  Industry Research: MPI has compiled an extensive array of industry resources and the most relevant industry news to you in one convenient location. You may also have the ability to assist MPI in creating and publishing these industry leading research publications.
11.  Stay Connected: MPI members have the ability to stay connected with each other, in your local chapters, in your region, country or across the globe through formal and informal communication, using the MPI GroupSpace platform – an interactive global social network platform. 
12.  MPI Foundation: Access to the MPI Foundation that may provide you with grants and scholarship funding. The MPI Foundation Scholarship program has three categories: College Education Funding, General Leadership Education or Academic Funding, and MPI Leadership, Career and Educational Programs.  The MPI Foundation Individual Grants Program (IGP) provides grants which are awarded for worthy programs or projects designed to create or advance new knowledge in the art and science of meeting planning.

Our educational programs are designed to appeal to both meeting planners and event suppliers.  We focus on providing event industry knowledge, personal development, best practices and improving return on investment.  In addition, our programs earn you continuing education credits toward your professional accreditation (CMP or CMM, for example).
