About MPIWSC

Meeting Professionals International, the world’s largest association for the $102.3 billion meeting and event industry, is committed to positioning meetings and events as a key strategic component of an organization's success. The MPI Washington State Chapter was chartered on May 26, 1981. In 1981, we started the Chapter with 50 members and grew to 300 members by the end of 2005-2006. We continue to experienced growth again and the Chapter as of March 2008 is at 354 members and a retention rate of 77%.  The Chapter has a very distinct demographic of members with the blend of Eastern and Western Washington.  MPIWSC empowers its members to increase their strategic value with education, professional development and business growth opportunities. MPIWSC conducts more educational programs per year than most chapters.  We have participated in joint ventures with the MPI Oregon Chapter (Cascadia Educational Conference) and with the Pacific Northwest Chapter of PCMA (The Industry Summit).  We are a financially sound Chapter and were one of the first chapters to have its own website.
